Abu Dhabi short guide

Welcome to Abu Dhabi - The Host City for ICDM 2024

Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, offers a unique blend of rich cultural heritage and cutting-edge modernity. As you prepare for the International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM) in December 2024, we invite you to explore the marvels of this dynamic city.

Practical Information:

  • Weather in December: Typically warm and sunny, with temperatures ranging from 17°C to 26°C (62°F to 79°F).
  • Transportation: Taxis in Abu Dhabi are the most reliable option to get around the city. The most popular services are Careem, Abu Dhabi Taxi, and Uber. You can also hail a gray Abu Dhabi taxi cab from the street (they use taxi meters, and you can pay with a card).
  • Airport options:
    1. You can fly directly to Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH).
    2. Alternatively, you can fly to Dubai (DXB) and take a taxi from there; it would take approximately 1.5 hours and cost around $100.

Hotels

For hotels near the venue with special rates for ICDM attendees, you can use this link: https://HotelMap.com/MFANG. We have reserved a number of rooms for ICDM participants, but they are limited, so it’s better to proceed with booking in advance.
